The Grand Lisboa Palace opens at noon, all new tables play en masse
Macau casino operator SJM Holdings Ltd opens its Grand Lisboa Palace complex today (July 30) at noon, the company said in a press release. The opening of the Grand Lisboa Palace comes at a time of increased travel restrictions between Macau and mainland China. As of the stroke of midnight on Saturday July 31, those intending to enter Macau on a direct flight from mainland China must hold a nucleic acid test certificate issued within 48 hours proving they are “negative” for Covid-19 infection.
Macau authorities also recently added new locations to the list of places on the mainland where departing travelers must complete a 14-day quarantine upon arrival in Macau.
Mainland China is the only place to have a largely non-quarantined travel bubble with Macau, amid existing travel restrictions as countermeasures against Covid-19.
