Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina, will unveil a four-year, multi-million dollar expansion plan this fall. The development will add a fourth hotel tower with 725 rooms and seven suites, bringing the total number of rooms to 1,833.

A brand new 83,000 square foot convention center will also debut in the fall. The Cherokee Convention Center will feature a 32,000 square foot ballroom, exhibit halls, pre-function space and more. Once the facility opens, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort will offer over 115,700 square feet of total event space.

Several play equipment and food and drink outlets have already debuted, with more to come in the coming months. In March, a new sports betting site opened in partnership with Caesars Entertainment and Guillaume Hill. The book features a 90-foot-wide TV, sports betting kiosks, and an elevated VIP area. Another new addition to the property is the World Series of Poker room, which offers 34 table poker and eight hand cash games.

New restaurants include the Myst Bar and Lounge on the casino floor and the Wicked Weed Brewpub, which serves craft beers and local ciders with a stage for live entertainment.

“We are delighted to see this project come to fruition and to be able to offer our customers new amenities and new offerings,” said Brooks robinson, vice-president regional director and general manager of the station. “This expansion has been integral to the growth of our property and our community and helps us further show that Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is truly a destination unlike any other in the Carolinas.”
