Hotel del Coronado expands with 75 private residences – Robb Report
Hollywood isn’t the only place in Cali with buildings that have graced the big screen. Just over 200 miles south of Sunset, San Diego’s beachfront Hotel del Coronado has its own cinematic fame. He made a memorable appearance in the 1959s Some like it hot alongside Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemon and Tony Curtis. The famous national monument has just proven that it is by no means frozen in time.
The Hotel del Coronado team exclusively revealed Robb Report that it is launching a collection of reservable private residences. The Shore House in Del will provide guests with more privacy and luxury than the original hotel’s 901 rooms.
The new addition houses 75 residences ranging from one to three bedrooms. Each residence has a linen canvas lobby with wood-beamed ceilings, as well as hand-scraped wood floors and a coastal color palette. On top of that, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Coast from the large windows. The spacious living room includes a fireplace, gourmet kitchen, and bathroom with a deep soaking tub and walk-in shower. Added perks include a veranda for lounging and a balcony with a fireplace. You’ll even have a washer and dryer if you need to freshen up. To top it off, each residence has a dedicated private entrance and valet parking for a smooth and fast check-in. There will also be a VIP Concierge on hand to ensure that all your needs are taken care of while on vacation.
The Shore House at Del
Guests will naturally have access to all the amenities of the hotel. The Shore House is within walking distance of the private cabanas in front of the beachfront pool, allowing you to soak up the sun during your stay. When hunger strikes, you can grab a table at the Bistro to sample dishes like charred octopus skewers and Peruvian pork sandwiches. The restaurant has a large outdoor patio so you can dine by the beach. It also has a communal table for events, wine tastings and other demonstrations. Additionally, the Pool Lounge offers a Baja-influenced menu that includes tastes of fresh oysters and yuca fries, while the Blue Hour Bar offers small bites and an array of signature cocktails.
