Hotsy Totsy Burlesque presents a tribute to Lord of the Rings, June 9

Handsome Brad and Cherry Pitz in attendance: The Fellowship of the G-String – A Hotsy Totsy Burlesque Tribute to Lord of the Rings at The Slipper Room, 167 Orchard Street, NYC on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

There’s a party in honor of Bilbo Baggins and the entertainment is the best burlesque troupe in Middle-earth.

Bilbo Baggins is back in the shire, this time he claims it’s for his favorite nail clipper, but the elves who brought him suspect he’s looking for something more “precious”. Meanwhile, the people of the Shire throw a party in honor of Bilbo, with the best burlesque troupe in Middle-earth. We’ve got it all figured out, elves, dragons, dwarves and rumor has it that Gandalf is considering gogo dancing.

JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings is one of the most beloved fantasy series of all time, he first wrote and published The Hobbit in 1937, and it wasn’t until the mid-1950s that he released The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Since then, it has been reprinted in 38 languages, spawned radio dramas, films, and most recently the upcoming TV show The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. We think it’s high time for Hotsy Totsy to pay tribute.

This year, Hotsy Totsy turned 15! The first Hotsy Totsy Burlesque took place in New York in April 2007 and it was a fabulous ride! We’ve played shows that are often sold out, and our dedicated fans happily follow the soap opera that is Hotsy Totsy, declaring after each performance, “That was the best show you’ve ever done!” As performers and writers, we’ve grown as a cast and as friends and are excited to begin our 15th year of honoring our favorite movies and TV shows with glitz, glitter and understatement. flying clothes.

Each month you are invited to The Home For Wayward Girls and Fallen Women. The residents of the house need money to keep their hotel open and to buy thongs and sequins. Unfortunately the shows have had their technical difficulties and in the past they have had to fight Daleks, Darth Vader, The Borg, Zombies, The Ghost of Vincent Price, Network Censors, Evil from other dimensions and more recently Covid-19. But we carry on and mother of the house Cherry Pitz with her faithful husband Handsome Brad promises you beautiful clothes-averse nerds, lots of laughs, twirling acorns and fun!

So join us for Hotsy Totsy Burlesque at The Home for Wayward Girls and Fallen Women where the motto is “We fell, we can’t get up, and we love it!”
