Is Ted Cruz vaccinated? Senator went maskless to Bob Dole’s funeral, sparking outrage

Republican Ted Cruz attended Senator Bob Dole’s funeral on December 10 without a mask, though everyone around him wears one. He was pictured sitting next to Amy Klobuchar who was diagnosed with breast cancer after which she received radiation therapy earlier this year. “Ted Cruz without a mask puts Amy Klobuchar’s vax and mask on cancer-proof,” Christine, political strategist and daughter of Nancy Pelosi, wrote on Twitter.

Cruz has been trolled several times this year, including as the Texans grappled with a raging winter storm and record high temperatures. He was photographed at the airport to catch a flight to Cancun for a family vacation. Millions of people in the state were left without power as the state’s power grid operator lost control of the power supply when photos of him “fleeing Texas” surfaced. His dog Snowflake was photographed at the window of his house and the Internet tore Cruz apart for having left the animal behind him. It was then clarified that Snowflake had been placed in an attendant and was not alone. Cruz blamed his trip to Cancun on his daughters, claiming he was just a “good father,” further fueling the flames of social media hatred.

Is Ted Cruz vaccinated?

In November, right-wing Senator Cruz and others on the right criticized the “Sesame Street” character Big Bird for encouraging parents to consider vaccinating their children against Covid-19. In a tweet, Big Bird wrote: “I received the Covid-19 vaccine today! My wing hurts a bit, but it will give my body an extra protective boost that will keep me and the others healthy. [CNN reporter] Erica Hill even said I’ve been getting vaccinated since I was a little bird. I had no idea! “Cruz called it” government propaganda … for your 5 year old! ”

Cruz ditched the face mask in April of this year and began appearing at the Capitol complex and the Senate without one. “At this point, I have been vaccinated. Everyone who works in the Senate has been vaccinated,” he said. CNN despite CDC instructions that everyone wear a face mask, vaccinated or not. In February, he complained to the Conservative Political Action Conference that Americans would be forced to wear masks for the “next 300 years.” He added, “Not just one mask, two, three, four. You can’t have too many masks. How much virtue do you want to point out? It’s just stupid.”

Going back to his recent appearance at Dole’s funeral, the internet is teeming with reactions against the senator. “@tedcruz were you born in a thoughtless hole ** or was it acquired?” wrote one. “Such contempt for everyone at the ceremony as you try to prove you’re DC’s biggest asshole. Wear a mask, at least out of respect, fat Teddy,” another tweet read. “Ted Cruz is such a fake! Did he care about the lives lost when he went to sunny Cancun while people froze? Does he care about the lives lost in Texas due to Covid? What a jerk hypocrite, ”tweeted a third.

“Ted Cruz, you walk unmasked at Bob Dole’s funeral ~ a publicity stunt surrounded by vulnerable elderly people ~ shows how pathetic, selfish, self-centered, childish, narcissistic, petty and publicity-hungry you are. PS you look less repulsive in a mask. #HotDogTeddy “wrote one angry user.” Can we sue anti-vaccines in Texas now? Would it be okay to sue Ted Cruz every time he shows up without a mask? It’s about preserving life, “asked another. Political satirist Jeremy Newberger tweeted:” If Ted Cruz thought this would get even more press attention, he would have jumped on Bob Dole’s coffin and would have striptease her Jesse Helms Underoos. “
