Launch of The Week, Americas Print Show 2022 – The Print Industry’s First Inaugural Event

Columbus, Ohio–The first Americas Print Show 2022 – a premier print and graphic communications industry show – opens this week, Wednesday, August 17 and runs through August 19. APS22 is focused on showcasing the latest technologies, making connections, and growing and growing the graphic community. APS22 will bring together regional and national associations representing more than 5,000 companies, as well as commercial printers, screen printing and apparel manufacturers, large format and sign printers, bookbinders and graphic finishers as well as suppliers of industry.

APS22 will be hosted at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, welcoming for exhibitors and visitors, in Columbus, Ohio, located in the heartland of the United States and offering more than 1.8 million square feet of exhibit space and of conveniences. GCCC’s historic downtown Columbus location puts it at the center of hotels, restaurants, entertainment and ease of travel.

APS22 BY THE NUMBERS – 3 days of industry education, connections and collaboration. Over 200,000 square feet of exhibit space, 21 breakout rooms for association meetings and seminars on technology, marketing, sales, workforce development, cybersecurity, supply chain, environmental issues and more. 5,000 companies represented by industry groups. Admission and educational sessions at APS22 are free to all attendees and exhibitors.

The GCCC showrooms are packed with exhibitors from coast to coast, giving APS22 attendees the opportunity to experience the diverse and creative world of printing with access to commercial printers, screen and apparel producers, large format and sign printers, bookbinders and graphic finishers, and industry suppliers. Visitors will learn about technology advancements and thought leaders from across the printing spectrum, plenty of demonstration equipment, demonstrations, theatrical presentations, product giveaways, and more. The APS22 educational sessions are key elements of the main focus of the event – collaborative visioning and thought leadership. Nationally recognized speakers, experts and influencers will share their experiences and lead discussions over the three days. Twenty-one breakout rooms provide an exceptional venue for presentations and seminars on the latest industry technologies, marketing, sales, and cybersecurity. Speakers include Dr. Chandrasekaran, associate dean of graduate programs and executive education at Ohio State University‘s Fisher College of Business, and popular industry influencers Bill Farquharson, Kelly Mallozzi, Warren Werbitt , Richard Romano, Mark Potter, Kathi Rowzie and Deborah Corn, the intergalactic ambassador of The Printerverse.

APS 22 exhibitors prepared corporate presentations on vital print industry topics, including USPS updates, reducing the environmental impact of printing, technology advancements, time organization, mixed mail and group purchasing power. These are scheduled for August 17 and 18.

Launching the Workforce Development Program on August 17 APS22 will host a luncheon and panel discussion – a diverse and honest exchange on the challenges and culture shifts needed to attract a wider group of individuals. In our Workforce Development Zone, we will continue discussions and connect print business leaders with candidates, providing one-on-one opportunities to support the development of the future workforce. .

Highlights from the Americas Print Show 2022:

Graphic Media Alliance (GMA) and Americas Printing Association Network (APAN) are hosting the Welcome Reception and Grand Ceremony on August 17 – an evening of celebration as APS22 welcomes attendees and honors the best print in the United States and the Canadian! The reception and live DJ entertainment starts at 5:00 p.m. and everyone is welcome at this free reception. Additionally, tickets are available for the VIP Awards Celebration, Dinner and After Party which will follow at 6:00 p.m. This part of the evening includes a buffet dinner as well as seats for the inaugural presentation of GMA’s Americas Print Awards.

T-shirts designed by Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) students will be given away to the first 500 attendees at the show on August 18 – courtesy of Millcraft. Congratulations to the winner of the 2022 PGSF Contest – William C. Glass, Grade 11 at West Hall High School in Oakwood, GA.

Girls Who Print is hosting a ‘Planting Seeds for the Future’ panel discussion and luncheon on August 18. The panel discussion will explore the printing industry in the “New Now” – and strategies for profit and growth with panelists Tara Halpin, CEO and President of Steinhauser; Catherine Lahlouh, Marketing and Business Development Specialist at Lahlouh, Inc; Alli Redinger, Account Management and Sales at Robin Enterprises; Kelly Mallozzi, Director and Success in Print and hosted by Deborah Corn, Intergalactic Ambassador at Print Media Centr. This event is FREE and open to everyone thanks to the generous support of our executive sponsor, PrintIQ (booth #911) and eleven affiliated organizations.
