Olivia Bowen says her ‘hormones are everywhere’ after emotional day with newborn son

Olivia Bowen and husband Alex Bowen – who met on Love Island in 2016 – welcomed their first child, Abel Bowen, earlier this month, both sharing updates on social media in recent days.

Olivia Bowen said her ‘hormones are everywhere’ after the birth of her first child as she thanked other new mums for reaching out with confidence.

The reality star, 28, and her husband Alex Bowen, 30, welcomed their newborn baby Abel Bowen earlier this month, with the couple overwhelmed with well wishes in recent weeks.

The couple – who met on Love Island in 2016 – shared parenting updates on their Instagram accounts, with Olivia expressing her gratitude on the platform yesterday.

She shared a photo of herself cradling her newborn baby, explaining in the caption that she has been feeling very emotional lately and is grateful for the support from her fans.

Olivia wrote, “Today was very emotional! Hormones are EVERYWHERE. I think I cried about 30 times, that’s not a stretch.” She included a laughing emoji at the end.

She went on to reveal that they have a newborn photo shoot tomorrow (June 17) which she is “excited” about, so they “won’t be moving” for the next few days.

“I can’t believe how hot it is too. Although we have air conditioning in our room, I feel so guilty for not getting the most sun, but it’s comfortable here,” she added.

Olivia – who placed second with Alex on Love Island – then took the opportunity to express her gratitude to her followers, who recently offered reassuring words.

She commented in the recent fan update on her Instagram Story, “I hope everyone is doing well. I read your posts often, they are so incredibly kind and encouraging.”

The podcast host concluded by writing in the post, “So many moms just tell me I have this and I can’t tell you how much it was needed today so thank you. Love you all .”

Olivia announced last week that Abel was born on June 10, describing him as her “everything”. Her husband Alex said their lives had “changed for the better”.

She wrote, “Abel Jacob Bowen. You are everything. 6/10/22.” Alex told fans, “Abel Jacob Bowen, but you can call him AJ…the day our lives changed for the better.”
