Townsville Civic Theater announces must-see 2022 season

Townsville is poised for a treat this theatrical season, with a host of outstanding dance, drama, cabaret, music and comedy performances at the Civic Theatre.

The highly anticipated theater season will include beloved theater classics like Don Juan, Jekyll & Hyde and Jane Eyre, as well as new stories like Wilbur the Optical Whale and Undertow.

Mayor Jenny Hill said tickets will sell out quickly for those performances.

“Theater enthusiasts have been patient over the past two years and now they are eager to get out and experience all the excitement of theatre, dance, cabaret, music and comedy. Luckily for them, our 2022 theatrical season is packed with incredible performances that are sure to delight,” said Cr Hill.

“I encourage anyone looking forward to these shows to come in early to reserve tickets – this is especially helpful for touring shows as it shows how much Townsville wants to see them perform at the Civic Theatre.”

Cr Hill said there was an easy way to keep up to date with events at the Civic Theatre.
