Back: Travis Scott has released his new song Hold That Heat, his first single since the tragedy at his Astroworld concert last November
In the video, Scott can first be seen hanging out in a hallway while holding a metal chain wrapped around an alligator’s neck.
He raps the same line over and over for the chorus, “Hold that, hold that heater.” “Heating” is a slang term for a firearm.
Later in the video, Scott sits on a couch near his collaborator Future and the two smoke marijuana together as Scott continues to rap.
A man later watches a woman, dressed in a mesh net and nipple pasties, as she performs a striptease.
The song is loaded with references including one to his upcoming album, Utopia. He rapped “Six Months in Cabo,” referencing a rumor that he was traveling back and forth from a studio in Mexico.

While he’s made a number of drug and alcohol references in the rap, the star hasn’t appeared to mention Astroworld or his own seclusion in recent months.
On Nov. 5, the Goosebumps singer played a show in Houston that descended into chaos as the huge crowd started moving forward.
The resulting phenomenon, known as crowd crushing, resulted in many people attempting to escape crowds by climbing on sound equipment or shouting or helping.
While this was happening, Scott continued to perform before eventually shutting down the show and emphasizing the mayhem.

The concert organizer, Live Nation, was also named in the lawsuit which alleges negligence and mismanagement of the event.
The Texas Concert Security Task Force released a report earlier this week revealing that the concert had permission issues and a lack of security training, according to Billboard
